Job description
Role Overview:
The Cybersecurity Specialist will provide on-demand support throughout a alrge government project, ensuring that the system adheres to the Department’s cybersecurity standards and policies. They will ensure the security
of data and systems, particularly during the migration to the cloud.
Security Clearance Negative Vetting Level 1
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess the security risks and vulnerabilities of the system, particularly during the cloud migration process.
• Implement security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with the Department’s security policies.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate security measures into the system architecture.
• Conduct regular security audits and provide recommendations for system improvement.
• Assist with any security incident response and ensure the system meets regulatory and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong background in cybersecurity, particularly in cloud environments.
• Experience with security assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of government cybersecurity standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001).
• Ability to work closely with IT and business teams to align security objectives with project goals.
• Experience in vulnerability assessments, threat management, and incident response
