Job description
Pinpoint Talent are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Document Controller required for a short-term contract role focused on document compliance and PDF creation in support of a legislative implementation project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for converting a range of legislative, regulatory, and operational documents from Microsoft Word into high-quality, accessible, and secure Adobe PDF files. This role plays a key part in delivering a digital solution to support licensing administration under new legislation.

Key Responsibilities
- Convert various Word documents into compliant, publication-ready Adobe PDFs.
- Apply accessibility features (e.g., tagging, bookmarks, alt text, and logical reading order) in accordance with government standards.
- Secure and optimise PDFs for both internal distribution and digital publication, including redaction where necessary.
- Work with policy, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure formatting accuracy and content integrity.
- Ensure styling, structure, and version control are consistent across all documents.
- Develop and maintain templates that support document conversion and compliance with branding requirements.
- Contribute to the development of workflows and document management standards.
- Offer guidance and basic training on Adobe Acrobat Pro tools and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro, particularly in creating accessible and secure PDFs from Word documents.
- Excellent attention to detail in formatting and proofreading, especially for legislative and policy-based content.
- Strong knowledge of document control and version management in structured environments.
- Experience working with legislation or regulatory documentation and understanding of content relevance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
