The IT Infrastructure Engineer role will suit someone with proven experience across bothon-premise and cloud-based infrastructure. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, this role will predominately be project-based and delivering to key outcomes. The Infrastructure engineer will be assisting in provisioning and decommissioning Microsoft Services in addition to configuring monitoring and alerting policies.

Key Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience providing infrastructure services and support in medium to large organizations is required (Financial services preferred).

• Proven experience supporting the following environments; Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Exchange, and SAN/NAS storage

• Essential to have experience in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues end-to-end.

• An understanding of distributed system design, network architecture and dependency

•  management.

• Experience coordinating with consultants, technology providers, and product service providers to achieve quality business outcomes on time and within budget is essential.

• Strong attention to detail paired with solid written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and manage the company’s internal and hosted server infrastructure.

• Configure monitoring and event management systems across critical applications such as ORCA Cloud Security and Microsoft Sentinel.

• Deliver infrastructure related projects and engage in scrum meetings.

• Develop and maintain a centralised and up-to-date infrastructure repository (e.g., asset register, infrastructure design, processes, and procedures).

• Perform impact assessments and engage with Change Management

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

• ITIL Foundation Certification or experience working in an ITIL environment Certified Microsoft professional (desirable)

• Microsoft MCSE/MCITP/MCP certification (desirable)

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

• Managing infrastructure-related projects

• Managing storage environments

• Provisioning and decommissioning hosted infrastructure

• Configuring Monitoring & Alerting.

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
