We are seeking up to three User Researchers to join the Human-Centred Design Team within the New Aged Care Act (NACA) Program. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact initiative that will shape the future of aged care services.

As a User Researcher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the New Aged Care Act meets the needs of key stakeholders, businesses, and end users. You will scope, conduct, and analyze user research to inform and support the transition and implementation of the Act. We are looking for candidates at different experience levels (Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior) to join our dynamic and collaborative team.

You will scope, conduct, and analyze user research to inform and support the transition and implementation of the Act. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support user research projects to inform the implementation of the New Aged Care Act.
- Develop research plans, discussion guides, and manage research scoping, planning, and preparation.
- Conduct user interviews, facilitate workshops, and engage stakeholders to gather meaningful insights.
- Recruit research participants, including businesses and relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze and synthesize research data to produce actionable insights and findings.
- Develop and maintain research reports, artifacts, and resources to document findings.
- Communicate research insights effectively to diverse stakeholders using storytelling techniques.
- Support research operations and program activities, including stakeholder engagement and coordination.
- Assist in program documentation, including reports, presentations, and talking points.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human-Centred Design (HCD), with demonstrated success in user research and design outcomes.
- Strong T-shaped skillset – deep expertise in HCD user research and interaction design, with the ability to contribute across multiple project types (communication, research, change, and strategy).
- Adaptability – ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills – excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage, influence, and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset – a self-starter approach, bringing solutions and ideas rather than waiting for direction.
- Facilitation expertise – confident in leading discussions, workshops, and collaborative sessions that drive meaningful outcomes.
- Experience working in Human-Centred Design (HCD) and multi-disciplinary teams (MDT).
- Basic knowledge of service design principles, including journey mapping.
- Experience using research and design tools such as Miro, Figma, and Dovetail.
- Familiarity with program documentation and reporting processes.
